How to use

How to Use the Color Blindness Simulator

  1. 1 Select foreground and background colors, or upload an image to test.
  2. 2 Choose a color vision deficiency type to simulate (protanopia, deuteranopia, tritanopia, or achromatopsia).
  3. 3 Check the contrast ratio results for WCAG AA accessibility compliance across all vision types.

About 8% of men and 0.5% of women have some form of color vision deficiency. The most common types are protanopia and deuteranopia (red-green), affecting about 6% of males combined.

WCAG 2.0 requires a minimum contrast ratio of 4.5:1 for normal text and 3:1 for large text. This tool checks contrast under all vision types to ensure universal accessibility.
