How to use
EXIF (Exchangeable Image File Format) data is metadata embedded in photos by cameras and smartphones. It includes camera settings like aperture, shutter speed, ISO, focal length, and the camera model. Professional photographers use EXIF data to learn from their shots and improve their technique.
JPEG files from cameras contain the richest EXIF data. PNG, GIF, and screenshots typically contain no EXIF data. This viewer parses the EXIF binary data directly in your browser using the APP1 marker and IFD (Image File Directory) structure. No images are uploaded to any server — all processing is completely local and private.
