How to use

How to use the online scientific calculator

  1. 1 Click number buttons or use your keyboard to enter values. The display shows your current input and the running expression.
  2. 2 Use the trigonometric functions (sin, cos, tan) by clicking the function button first, then entering the value. Functions use radians.
  3. 3 For logarithms, use log for base-10 and ln for natural log. Click the function, then enter or calculate the argument.
  4. 4 Use x² for squaring, x^y for custom powers, √ for square root, n! for factorial, |x| for absolute value, and 1/x for reciprocal.
  5. 5 Press = to evaluate the expression. Results appear on screen and are saved to the history section below the calculator.

This scientific calculator provides all the functions you need for math, science, and engineering calculations directly in your browser. It supports standard arithmetic, trigonometric functions (sine, cosine, tangent), logarithms (base-10 and natural), powers, square roots, factorials, and constants like π and e. The dual-line display shows both your current expression and the running result.

The calculator uses standard mathematical order of operations and supports nested parentheses for complex expressions. Every calculation is saved to a scrollable history log, making it easy to reference previous results without re-entering them. The AC button clears everything, while DEL removes the last character.

Trigonometric functions use radians by default, which is the standard in most scientific and programming contexts. To convert from degrees, multiply by π/180 before applying the function. For example, to calculate sin(90°), enter sin(90 × π ÷ 180). The calculator handles numbers up to JavaScript precision limits and displays results with up to 12 significant digits.
