TDEE (Total Daily Energy Expenditure) is the total number of calories your body burns in a day, combining your Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) with activity level. This calculator uses the Mifflin-St Jeor equation, which is considered the most accurate BMR formula for most people.

To lose weight, eat fewer calories than your TDEE (typically 250–500 fewer). To gain weight or build muscle, eat more (typically 250–500 more). Your TDEE changes as your weight, age, and activity level change, so recalculate periodically for accurate targets.
