How to use

How to use the stopwatch and timer for focus sessions, workouts, and everyday timing

  1. 1 Choose Stopwatch mode when you want to count upward and capture lap times for workouts, practice rounds, or task tracking.
  2. 2 Press Start to begin timing, then use Lap whenever you want to save a split without stopping the running stopwatch.
  3. 3 Switch to Timer mode when you need a countdown and enter hours, minutes, or seconds for a custom duration.
  4. 4 Use one of the preset buttons for common countdown lengths such as 1 minute, 25 minutes, or 60 minutes.
  5. 5 Start the timer and let the browser-generated beep alert you when the countdown reaches zero.

A combined stopwatch and timer tool is useful because it covers both styles of time tracking in one place. A stopwatch is best for open-ended measurement when you want to see elapsed time and log splits, while a timer is better for fixed blocks such as focus sessions, stretch breaks, workouts, and cooking tasks. Having both modes side by side makes it easy to switch based on the job at hand.

Built-in presets also help reduce friction when you repeat the same countdowns often. A quick 25-minute Pomodoro, a 5-minute break, or a 1-minute sprint can all be started without retyping the duration each time. Because the tool runs entirely in the browser and generates its own short tone, it stays fast, private, and easy to use on desktop or mobile devices.
